First I wanted to say I AM SO SORRY for neglecting this blog and promise to be a better blogger :) I have been soooooooo busy since my new site went live and I wanted to stop and thank each and every one of u for faithfully coming back to see what is going on at the studio.... I have LOTS of plans in the works so please stayed tuned! With that being said here we go!

This is my BEAUTIFUL cousin and she is now a senior.... so hard to believe because I remember my aunt bringing her home! I have so many exciting ideas for her and these were just the few :) The first one was actually taken here in town on another day I just LOVE how it turned out as well!!

I can FINALLY say my new website is up and running! My winter project became my winter and spring project, but I am very happy with the results!! Celebrating A Daddy Home and a little One year old!

Little miss M came to our studio just little over a year ago with mommy and daddy and has been in our Bebe Collection and recently came in for her year portrait.She is one of the sweetest babies that we have had at our studio full of personality! Just wanted to tell Daddy WELCOME HOME!!! He has been gone from his family for a year and is home now! God Bless you and Thank you for protecting us!!!

If you are like me you were very excited to have some warm days!! I took advantage of the warm day yesterday and took my nephews out for some pics, I have to tell you I have had little Wyatt's outfit forever seems like and the timing never turned out he would be cranky and need a nap or the weather was bad or I was to busy.... but finally I got what I wanted!!! I am tickled pink :) I just started on them and I can't stop working on them, I have several of Blake but I am going to take him out by himself and do more because by the time I wanted to take more of Blake Wyatt was over it LOL but here are some of my favorites hope u enjoy and oh the one with the sunglasses on well, that was not planned he was heading to the studio and I caught it.

First sorry to all my faithful blog readers, I have neglected my blog but so much has been going on with making all the changes for my name change and getting the new website up and running, by the way can't wait for u all to see!! But I found this site and it is called I love faces and today was fix it friday and they asked all photographers to download this image and have at it to edit it the way they would edit if it was their picture so here is my take at this..... it was fun to be able to do this! On a side note my frame samples will be in within the next week so we will be having a February Frame Up Sale! Stay tuned for more details and specials going on at the studio!

Grandpa went home to be with the Lord yesterday

I hope everyone understands that I will not be in the office until next tuesday, my grandpa went to be with the Lord yesterday. We are putting together a memorial service to be held this sunday. Thank you to all who have prayed for myself and my family, I myself can honestly feel the prayers, please continue to pray for my grandmother and my family some more than others are having a really hard time with it. I will be ready to finally get back into the swing of things once all of this is past, I do look forward to seeing many relatives from far and near this sunday, isn't it sad how we stay so busy with our lifes that really this is the only time families get together.

I leave with you pictures of my grandpa and my nephew Wyatt it looks like he is starring right at Wyatt, but he has been blind for many years, I am so glad I had my camera that day to be able to have these for Wyatt when he grows up!

First I wanted to say sorry to all my faithful blog followers, I took some much needed time off and away from the studio and it felt great! I am now all rested and getting everything ready to switch over to the name change.... but thru all of this my grandpa has been in the hospital and is not doing very well, he is now is hospice basically they are keeping him as comfortable as they can until he passes.... I am emotionally and mentally just drained.... he no longer can eat or drink anything because it goes straight into his lungs... and the hospital wanted to do a feeding tube but he had said if it ever came to that that he DID NOT want that. Please pray for myself and my family especially my grandmother. So I just wanted to apologize to anyone who has been trying to get ahold of me I have been trying to do catch up on all phone calls and emails. I wanted to post the winner of my big give away it went to Amy Russell her co worker janna nominated her!After reading all the entries this one stuck out the most to me a devoted mother to a sick child, I somewhat could relate to her situation because I have a sister who has a sick child and I know the daily struggles they go thru from medication to finances so myself and John was very happy that she won it and can't wait to take their family portrait!!

New Year New Look

Ok I know I have talked about it and showed several samples of my new name and new look but I am finalizing it now and my goal is to have the name change and look by the first of the year!! I am SUPER excited about it and to go along with the whole new look I will be totally redueing the website, I have not updated my galleries all year so please check back in January to see what I have been up to in 2008!! I also still want to share some exciting news but it is still not finalized so you have to wait just a couple more weeks.....sorry! I will post pictures to go along with the news :> there is so much that me and John want to accomplish in 2009 and I am very excited to where our business is heading!!! I just wanted to really thank every single one of my customers we have met SO many wonderful people this year from precious babies awesome families and some awesome seniors!!!! Can't wait to get started in 2009!! We wish EVERYONE a very Merry Christmas and a AWESOME new year!!! Stayed tuned for the winner of the give away!! Offering New Frames!!

I came across this AWESOME framing company several weeks ago and just fell in love with them, I think they totally go with my style of photography... they are very unique and chic! What is totally awesome is we have reserved our spot to be the ONLY photographer in a 50 mile radius to be able to sell them, which makes me happy! I shared this information with my best friend who is also a photographer in North Carolina and we both entered a photo competition they had going on and we both won!! She won 1st and I won 2nd how cool is that! Congrats goes out to Lisa!! A couple of weeks ago I had 2 sessions booked on the same day 1 senior and this family later towards evening. We got done with the senior session and headed to Spiceland for this family picture. It started cloudy up and it started to look like it was getting dark, I could see the sun was behind all of these looked like storm clouds and I just said a simple prayer "please Lord could u please part those clouds and bring the sun so I can have beautiful light for this family" I watched with my very own eyes within seconds the clouds part and the sun shine and we got images like this one above..... beautiful!!! It is amazing to me that the Lord loves me so much that he would part those clouds that day something so big for me and so little for him!! Once we got their this family was one of the nicest families we have worked with! Many blessings that day!!

Just wanted to let everyone know we have been crazy busy here at the studio and want to apologize to anyone if they are trying to get in contact with me... I think I have called everyone back that I was suppose to if not please call me or email me, John will tell you that I am forgetful at times, especially when we have been as busy as we are now..... which I think is a HUGE blessing from above, with how the economy is we sure are not seeing it, so thank you to all my loyal AWESOME clients that we have had so far this year!!! Without you I would not be in business! We have met some pretty awesome people which includes seniors, families, children and those precious babies!!! After talking to several of my clients they informed me that they often check out my blog while they are work, which made me very happy!!! To all my faithful blog followers I just wanted to let you know we are going to be taking pictures on Halloween... I know their are alot of wonderful mothers out there who find the cutest costumes for their kids and I know they are not cheap either! So we will be taking pictures from 2:30 - 4:30 all you have to do is bring in 2 can food items per child and you will receive the following week a FREE 4X6 of you child in their costumes! We will be putting the food items into food baskets and giving those away at Christmas to those less fortunate than us. You also will be able to purchase more of the pictures at a discount. Also while I am talking about pictures we will be set up where kicks 96 was which is next to me during Winterfest which is the Saturday before Thanksgiving. We will be taking pictures with Santa... same thing bring in can food items and receive a FREE 4x6 picture with Santa, I am already anxious for Christmas partially because I want to enjoy it this year and not run myself to death like I did last year. We will have a deadline this year to order and come in for portraits so I can spend time with my own family, I am sure everyone understands that. Anyways I am already buying decorations for winterfest so I hope that when you and your kids come in for pictures that everyone will feel the spirit of Christmas when they walk in the door! Ok some of you I have talked to about this, others have no idea that I have been thinking about this.... but I have been going back and forth for quite sometime... I have been wanting to change the name of my business to my name so people will know the person behind the camera, kind of like when an artist signs his or her name to their piece of art. I have wanting to go with these colors and it was like I sat down tonight and the Lord was like here you go Deanna this is what you have been wanting, just like that.... The Lord has been soooooo good to me, he is continually blessing me with even the littlest things. Also something has been offered to me that is really big and would be a very BIG plus for our studio, I don't want to say just yet... still praying about it I want to really know that it is the Lord's will and it has to be the perfect timing to but if and when it is I will for sure post when it happens, until then let me know what u think of the name change and my design.

I found this old wooden chair at the sale barn in Brookville and have been wanting to use it for pictures so when I got the phone call to book for this session and knew it was going to be out in the country I just popped this chair in the back thinking maybe I could use it, and when I saw their adorable sun dresses I knew the chair would be perfect, the girls were so sweet!! The family was very nice to work with as well!!

Miss Mary came in for her 6 month session.... hard to believe she is that old already! It is so neat to have babies in our bebe collection and just watch them grow up. She is such a sweetie!!! I recently did another senior girl session and I just LOVE how these turned out! I love the new spot I found... I think it is real "urban" style and her outfit and expression just made it perfect. There are a ton more from this session!! It is crazy busy around the studio with seniors! Like I said before I love what I do and I love meeting new people and getting to know them. Vanessa and her mom were so sweet. I have been so blessed this year to meet so many wonderful seniors, seriously everyone of them that has came to the studio seems to have their head on their shoulders! Go class of 2009!! I can't believe I haven't shared with everyone that I was chosen to take all the doctors pictures at our local hospital, if you have seen the gigantic billboards with doctors on them, those are some of the images that I have taken. I think the billboards look really nice, I met alot of really nice doctors! I also have been taking pictures of past patients of the hospital you also will be seeing these images very soon but I don't think I can say just yet stay tuned! I have had this sofa for awhile and have been itching to take it outside for pictures and FINALLY I was able to and I am tickled pink on how they turned out! I also have been wanting to take my curtains outside in the alley and have the alley blurred and I got to do that as well! My client whole hearted trusted me and let me do whatever and this is just a few of what I got!! I have been out of the office most of this past week due to Vacation Bible School. I was the one over VBS so I had planning to do. Tonight was the last night and I am very tired but it was ALL worth it in the end. Seeing children get saved just touched me. It is not about me it is about HIM. We had an awesome turn out and the kids had alot of fun! I think every class was packed. I will be back in the office next week and will be very busy with senior pictures! I am booked for the next several weeks with senior sessions. If you have a child and are wanting pictures we do have some early afternoon appointments still available. You see I was faithful at overseeing this VBS this week and putting my studio to the side and he inturn has blessed us with many jobs. I am forever grateful to my AWESOME Lord!

So excited!!! Finally got to use my blue chair

I found this chair at a second hand store and just fell in love with it! This is the first time I got to use it outside!!! Alyssa was just as excited as I was I think! LOL I love how these turned out! And bless my husband who is such a trooper with all my ideas of dragging this furniture around on our trailer and then carrying it down the railroad tracks! He deserves husband of the year award!! I think all my clients would agree! Anyone who has been in our studio knows I am addicted to furniture especially chairs! Now that i see how cute they are I will be on the hunt for more........ and John says Oh Boy!!

I was loading these images that we just did last evening and I just LOVE this one.... this was taken at her aunt and uncles farm, you can see an old school house in the background, I was told that the house had been in the family for a VERY long time, like her great great great grandparents lived there, how neat!!! I always love to hear stories like that and wish my family would have kept my great grandmothers house, so many memories. I am glad that I got this image of her, she said they have one of her playing in this creek when she was a little girl, so sweet!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July! I spent it with family and friends here at the house. Our weekend was pretty busy... Friday we let fireworks off here at our house and then watched the "Big Daddies" they let off every year at our park,but we watched them from our local school's parking lot you can see them just as good without all the noise!It was better for my nephew and our friends little ones. We had to keep miss Shelby in our 10 year old rottweiler in she HATES fireworks and storms!Poor thing was warn out from barking all day.Our other two babies Sampson and Sedrick don't really care about the fireworks or storms they would just like Shelby to be quiet. They are to funny! Saturday we had a young Christian singer come to our church and sing then we had a firework show ourselves, which turned out pretty awesome! John and another guy from our church was the ones letting them off. Sunday we had our annual hogroast at church it is geared toward inviting guests and the community, this year I didn't go I woke up not feeling very good, but John went and said it turned out really nice.

If you are wanting to book an appointment this month we do have some mid morning and afternoon spots open and a few saturdays but other than that we are booked in the evenings with alot of seniors scheduled. If you are wanting to come to us for your senior pics you should call to make an appointment because I have a feeling August will be the same as July! We would love to take your pictures!

Celebrating Adoption

This couple was so sweet! They totally are going to make AWESOME parents! This is little miss "M" I just wanted to pinch those cheeks!! She is in our Bebe Plan and I can't wait to watch her grow up.Have I said lately how much I LOVE my job?!!! I feel so blessed to be able to capture these moments for this family. The Lord is so good, it says in Psalms he will give us the desires of our heart.... he gave this sweet couple the desires of their hearts and that is to become a mother and a father. I can not wait until that day comes for myself and my husband.

We were away on Father's Day. Me and John went out to a photography class out in Illinois and learned a ton of stuff that we are excited about! Before I left I made sure Miss "M" gallery was up for daddy, he is serving in Iraq please keep him in your prayers!

For those of you who have been following my blog this is Miss "M" we took her pictures with her daddy before he left for Iraq. She recently came in for her 3 month session,and oh my has she grown!! Doesn't she look like a babydoll on this little couch which is just her size! I was totally amazed at only 3 months she was sitting there like a big girl!! I told her mom I think she will be a early walker!

It is so much fun to watch the babies in our bebe collection grow up! Time goes by so fast!!

I had so much fun doing this session!As soon as Tyler stepped out of the vehicle and I saw his outfit I thought ok I know exactly where we are going (location) and then he pulled out this awesome guitar. I had the honor of hearing him play it, he was really shy about me hearing him play but oh my goodness he has talent!! We are entering into senior season and I am just stoked! I love to take senior portraits, I have a blast and make sure our seniors do to!Here is a couple from his session.

Here is a new logo I am working on... I am thinking very seriously about changing the name of the business to my name, I would like to have my name on my work. So I have been thinking about my new look I really like the black and white I think it goes with my pictures. I would love to know what everyone thinks about the possible name change and the logo, I feel like it is missing something so I need your help!

Just wanted to let everyone know if you stop by the studio Tuesday or Wednesday of this week we will not be there, we are at Fayette Regional Hospital taking portraits of doctors and staff. What a blessing it was to photograph another soldier!

What an honor it was to be able to photograph this daddy with his newborn son before leaving to go to Iraq! This is our 2nd soldier in 3 weeks and it has been wonderful to be able to capture some very special moments for these families. I pray before each session that I do and I especially prayed before these sessions because they are so important, as u can see the Lord heard my prayer it was almost like Jesus was right there making this moment perfect! Thank u Lord and thank you Larry for fighting for our country!!! Please say a very special prayer for him and his family because this is actually my family.... my baby cousin and my new cousin in law. You can tell he loves his daddy!! There are so more from this session... just getting started ! I will post more!

He was recently asked to be an assistant coach for this soccer season, well this is right up his alley since he played soccer from grade school thru high school.
